The Year 8 students recently had the opportunity to visit Melbourne Museum to participate in an exciting educational project: creating a "Rockumentary". The students explored the museum's extensive geological exhibits, learning about different types of rocks, their formation, and the fascinating stories they tell about Earth's history. Guided by museum educators and their studies in class, they then used this knowledge to craft their own engaging documentaries, highlighting the importance of geology in understanding our planet. The experience not only deepened their understanding of Earth sciences but also allowed them to develop creative and technical skills in filmmaking.
