Our Inclusive Education program is centered around the expertise of our dedicated team, including Learning Specialists, Wellbeing staff, and Learning Support staff. Our focus is on working collaboratively with parents and external allied health providers to deliver a comprehensive range of interventions tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. We are committed to providing students with reasonable adjustments necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally

The Inclusion team works with families and teachers to ensure a coordinated approach to each student's development. We collaborate with allied health professionals, such as educational psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and visiting teachers, integrating their expertise into our support strategies.

Our commitment is to provide an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere that respects the dignity of every student and promotes their academic, social, and emotional wellbeing.

Tier 2 Support

The college offers a variety of small-group interventions to support students who require additional academic and social assistance.

Programs such as Macqlit and Numeracy tutoring are designed to enhance literacy and numeracy skills, while targeted lunchtime clubs provide opportunities for social development in a supportive environment.

These interventions are carefully crafted to address specific student needs, helping them build confidence and achieve success in a focused, nurturing setting.

Tier 3 Support

We support a wide range of students, including those with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, conditions such as ASD, and serious medical issues like cystic fibrosis. Our approach is holistic, recognising that each student is unique and requires a personalised support plan to succeed in their educational journey.

Individual Education Plans (IEPs) outline personalised learning goals and strategies, ensuring that students receive targeted, in-class support that is responsive to their unique challenges. These plans are available to students who receive funding under the Program for Students with Disabilities or the Disability Inclusion reform.

We have a small, but dedicated Learning Support team who work closely with classroom teachers to deliver personalised assistance. This support may include: small group instruction, tailored interventions, and continuous monitoring of student progress to ensure that their specific needs are met effectively.
