“We are Anja and Lotti and spent our last ten weeks here in Australia.  This school is really different to our schools (we live in different cities) back in Germany, we don't use computers, we can't choose our subjects and the relationship between teacher and student is in generally more strict.  We both think we improved our English, because you learn a lot when you talk and listen to others’ conversations all day.

Another thing which was really different and new for us was that we had to wear school uniform.  Not to forget we came from zero degrees to 35-40 degrees.  Anja spent one week at Venus Bay that was really special for her because she has never been to the beach before.  I (Lotti) spent four days in Sydney and I think it is an amazing city.  I also was in New South Wales on a surf camp with the other German exchange students from this organization for one week.  Here in Melbourne we saw some museums, the art gallery and we went up to the Eureka Tower with this wonderful view all over the city.  Our host families took us both to a footy match and we loved it!  The food here in Australia is different to our German food.  We don’t have tim tams, meat pies, fish and chips, sausage rolls... which we will definitely miss when we are back in Germany.  All in all we think this exchange was a great experience and we are happy that we took this chance.  See you soon Down Under!
